From: Dr. Hassan El-Najjar

           Director of Public Relations

           Dalton Islamic Center

Subject: Islamic weekly religious services and annual holidays

Date: December 5, 2005

I’d like to inform you of the Islamic weekly religious services and the two Islamic annual holidays, which may affect Muslim students attending schools of the City of Dalton.

The regular Islamic weekly religious services are conducted at the Dalton Islamic Center at 1:00 - 3:00 pm, every Friday.

There are also two Islamic religious holidays at the end of the month of Ramadan (Eid Al-Fitr) and at the end of the Haj Pilgrimage (Eid Al-Adha). The services for both of them are conducted in the morning between 8:30 and 10:30, twice a year.

Muslim students and Muslim employees would appreciate it if the Board of Education of the City of Dalton recognizes their need to observe these services. More specifically, we would appreciate it if you let Muslim students and employees attend the Friday as well as the two annual holiday services.
